Where do I park and enter the building?
The JCC is located at 7900 Northaven Road, Dallas, TX 75230, and you will need to park in the upper lots. DO NOT park in the Sports and Fitness parking lot down by the ball field. You will enter the building through the main lobby.
Where do I go?
Upon entering the JCC, you will need to sign-in at the front desk. Please be prepared to present your ID. Tell the front desk you are there for Wheel to Survive, and they will point you in the direction of the gym. There will be Wheel to Survive volunteers who will be there to greet you and show you the way.
When and where do I check-in for the ride?
You should plan to arrive and check-in at the registration tables in the gym at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride time. At this time you will receive your rider goody bag and our volunteers will help locate your team bike.
Do I need to bring my own snacks, drinks and sweat towels?
We will provide water, sports drinks, snacks and fresh towels throughout the day.
Can I bring my kids to the event?
ABSOLUTELY! Arts on the Go will be entertaining the little ones at the event all day! While you ride, the kids will be having a blast making bracelets, drawing, coloring, making crafts and more. Children are supervised the entire time, and it is open to ages 3 and up. Look for the Arts on the Go trailer near the main entrance. Click here for more information about Arts on the Go.
Besides the ride, is there anything else going on at Wheel to Survive?
Yes! We are excited to have some fantastic vendors and artists joining us at Wheel to Survive Dallas! Vendors will have a variety of unique and handmade items available for purchase ranging from clothing, jewelry, art and more. Click here to preview these vendors and their products. A portion of your purchase on Sunday, February 28th benefits ovarian cancer research, so come ready to shop!
Also, we will host raffle with some great prizes at Wheel to Survive! Enter to win by purchasing raffle tickets at the event – cash, card and check will be accepted.
Can we decorate our team bike?
Sure! If you and your team want to decorate your bike, you can check-in as early as 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. Out of respect for those who have kindly allowed us to borrow their spin bike for the event, we ask that you DO NOT decorate with tape, glue or any other sticky substances that will be difficult to get off the bike. Anything you use to decorate should be able to come off easily at the end of the day.
Can I or someone I know make an event day donation?
Yes, we will have volunteers at the registration table who are available to take cash, card and check donations on Sunday.
Can my friends and family come out to the event even if they are not riding?
Of course! Please invite your friends and family to come out to cheer you on. You don’t have to ride at Wheel to Survive to support the cause – anyone can shop our gift market and participate in the raffle.
What if I have not fundraised the minimum amount to participate?
Keep trying! Think of it this way – if you are riding on a team, your fundraising minimum is $250. If you have 10 people (friends, family, coworkers) who donate $25 to your ride, you’re done! Remember – it is much more effective to ask people personally to support your ride. Make some phone calls, send some emails – don’t just send out a general ask on social media.
