Why I Ride: Ronan Le Moigne
For people who know me, I have been in the cancer battle field for more than 15 years now, and my professional career has been aimed at helping patient and providing them better drugs.
More recently, I realized that developing drugs is something, but interacting with the patients and people directly touched by the disease is another way of achieving my goal. It is important to be reminded that the disease is not just a patient number, or a name in the news. People are touched, sometimes young, they will suffer, they will fight, some will lose their battle, and some will survive.
This is what this is all about, to provide ovarian cancer patients, survivors, and their family some support and just say “hey, I am here, your life matters, your efforts matters, the pain you endured matters…”. Pedaling 4 hours is not a big deal, what is a big deal is to raise money, raise awareness, and say to these women, which could be your mothers, daughters, sisters and friends that they deserve better. We all deserve better.
On November 6, 2016, I will be participating in Wheel to Survive, an inspirational four hour indoor cycling event to raise money to help women batting ovarian cancer today and to provide research dollars for a cure. 100% of the money I raise will go to fund these programs.
Please help me reach my goal by making a tax deductible donation today. You can also help me reach my goal by sharing my page or link with your friends by email or social media. Better yet, register today and come ride with me!
Thank you for your generous support and joining me to be the difference in the fight against ovarian cancer. Our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends are counting on us. The time is NOW!
