Be The Difference Foundation invites DFW businesses to participate in the 2016 Dallas Wheel to Survive Corporate Challenge. Wheel to Survive Dallas is an uplifting six-hour indoors cycling fundraiser to fund programs dedicated to help women battling ovarian cancer today and provide research dollars for a CURE. This inspirational event will be held at JCC Dallas on February 28, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Corporate Challenge Benefits

Improve your company’s moral and employee satisfaction by participating in the Wheel to Survive corporate challenge. Corporate teams can work with one another on fundraising and training activities, developing similar teamwork skills as a retreat.

Employee Wellness
Wheel to Survive training can help your team to get in great physical shape. Improved employee health results in better productivity and happier team members. Female employees will also become more aware of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.

Community Service
Participants in Wheel to Survive make a difference in the fight against ovarian cancer. All money fundraised by participants goes directly to fund research and support women battling the disease.

Ways to Support Your Company’s Team

Corporate Matching
Corporate matching programs motivate employee fundraising. Matching donations are tax-deductible and 100% goes directly to fund research and support women battling the disease.

Team Engagement
Encourage participation in Wheel to Survive and fundraising events. Consider hosting a team recruitment days at your office.  One of our survivors will be happy to provide information on the symptoms of ovarian cancer and why it is important for your organization to participate.

Corporate Paid Registration Fees
Companies can encourage participation and demonstrate their commitment to the cause by paying their employee registration fees.

Incentives

Corporate teams will receive the following incentives:

  • Banner provided by company with company logo to be displayed in the gymnasium
  • Wheel to Survive team photo
  • Mention in corporate challenge press release
  • Mention in corporate challenge social media activities
  • Trophies will be provided in the following categories:
    • Largest corporate team
    • Most spirited corporate team
    • Team with most funds raised

What if employees aren’t interested in riding? How can they participate?

You don’t have to spin to participate. Your employees can also choose to become a virtual rider or volunteer. Encourage employees to attend and support team members that are participating in the event.

Registration and Fundraising Requirements

Each corporate team should designate a strong team member to serve as team captain. Team captains should register online and create their team.  Team captains can t rally together a team of employees and invite them to register for the team online.

Teams consist of 2-6 riders sharing a stationary bike and riding 45 minutes in six back-to-back sessions. Team members will register online and join the team. Single riders can also take the ultimate challenge and ride the full six hours on their own bike. Each bike has a $1500 minimum fundraising requirement. The $50 registration fee includes a Wheel to Survive event t-shirt, FREE training rides leading up to the event and a rider goodie bag provided on the day of the event.
